O Allah, shower Your mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (๏ทบ), the unlettered Nabi, and upon the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (๏ทบ), as You showered Your mercy upon Hadhrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam), and the family of Hadhrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam), and shower Your blessings upon Hadhrat Muhammad (๏ทบ), the unlettered Nabi, and upon the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (๏ทบ), as You showered Your blessings upon Hadhrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Indeed You are praiseworthy and most glorious.

The lโ™กve of the Sahabah (Radi’allรขhu Anhum) for Rasulullah (๏ทบ):

Somebody once asked Hadhrat Ali (Radi’allรขhu Anhu): โ€œHow much lโ™กve did the Sahabah really possess for Rasulullah (๏ทบ)?โ€

Hadhrat Ali (Radi’allรขhu Anhu) replied: โ€œI take a qasm/oath on Allah Taโ€™ala, Rasulullah (๏ทบ) was more beloved and dearer to us than our riches, our children and our mothers, and his company was more cherished than a drink of cold water at the time of severest thirst.โ€ (Faza’il-e-Aโ€™maal)

Know that lโ™กve for the Messenger of Allรขh (๏ทบ), and all of Allรขh’s other Prophets, Angels, and virtuous servants, and all who assist in HIS obedience, is part of one’s lโ™กve for HIM. The Prophet (๏ทบ) has said: ‘Lโ™กve Allรขh for the favours HE grants you, and lโ™กve me for the lโ™กve of Allรขh, and lโ™กve the people of my house for my lโ™กve.’ And: ‘Allรขh has said: “My lโ™กve is due to those who lโ™กve each other for My sake, who sit with each other for My sake, who visit each other for My sake, and who give to each other for My sake.”

Sincere lโ™กve has signs, the greatest and highest of which is perfection in one’s following the Messenger (๏ทบ) his speech, acts, and attributes.
Allฤh the Exalted has said: Say: If you lโ™กve Allรขh, then follow ME [Muhammad Rasulullah (๏ทบ)] and Allรขh will lโ™กve you. (3: 31) Following Allรขh’s beloved is in proportion to one’s lโ™กve for Allรขh; if the latter is abundant then the former will be abundant likewise, while if the latter is little, the former will be little also.

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. It is not the length of life, but the depth of life. It is not a sum of what we are but what we yearn to be, its what we do with our life counts. The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it – the lโ™กve of the blessed Prophet (๏ทบ)!

He who is satisfied with Islam as his/her religion will revere its rites and sacrosanct things and will persistently strive to acquire the kind of knowledge and perform the kinds of works which confirm it and increase it in ability and steadfastness. He/She should be happy with it, anxious for it not to be taken away from him/her, respectful of its people, and averse to those who deny or antagonise it.

He who is satisfied with Muhammad (๏ทบ) as the Prophet should emulate him, follow his guidance, adhere to his law, uphold his Sunnah, magnify his rights, and abundantly invoke blessings and peace upon him. He should lโ™กve his family and companions, invoke
Allรขh’s mercy and satisfaction upon them, and be concerned for the Prophet (๏ทบ)’s community/Ummah and of good counsel to them.
